OUR TOWNS

Carroll County lies about midway between the Ozark Mountains and the Boston Mountains. Regionally it is between the confines of two different geographic regions: the Springfield Plain and White River Hills. The county has seven incorporated towns: Beaver, Berryville, Eureka Springs, Green Forest, Holiday Island, Oak Grove and Blue Eye, which shares part of its town with Missouri. U.S. Highway 62 crosses the county in an East-West direction, passing through Green Forest, Berryville and Eureka Springs. Seven state roads cross the county.

Berryville:
Berryville, AR is located in the picturesque Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas. It is the county seat of Carroll County and has a population of 4,500. Many attractions offered are Saunders Museum, Heritage Center, Cosmic Cavern and the Historic Town Square.

Green Forest:
Green Forest, AR is located in the midst of the beautiful Ozark Mountains. It provides an excellent location for numerous recreational activities. Hunting, fishing, boating, water sports, camping, hiking, golf and much more are available in our immediate area for residents and visitors to enjoy. Nearby mountains, lakes and streams make this one of the nation's most desirable areas.

Eureka Springs:
Eureka Springs, AR is a small town sprouting to life amid clean air, tall trees and clear, sparkling water flowing from hundreds of springs throughout the area. Away from the hustle and bustle of big city life, out of the frigid winters of the Midwest and scorching summers of the deep South, new residents are discovering that there is indeed magic here in this little village in the heart of the Ozark Mountains.

Harrison:
Located in the heart of the Ozarks, Harrison, County Seat of Boone County, Arkansas, is a community of approximately 13,000 residents who live, work and play in a city which has the conveniences of an urban setting with the benefits of small town friendliness. Harrison is 35 miles south of Branson, MO. It is nationally recognized as one of the "Best Small Towns in America" with a downtown lake and a beautiful town square complete with hanging flower baskets and old-time whittlers relaxing on the park benches.

Holiday Island:
Holiday Island is located at the headwaters of Table Rock Lake, 5 miles north of Eureka Springs and 6 miles south of the Arkansas/Missouri border. With a population of 2,000, Holiday Island maintains an idyllic, wooded setting. Some amenities include a full-service marina and yacht club, a clubhouse, tennis, volleyball and a softball field. There is also a nine-hole executive golf course plus an eighteen-hole course.

Huntsville:
Huntsville is located in Madison County, which is Carroll Counties’ neighbor. It is the county seat of Madison County and has a population of 1,900. Nestled in the rugged terrain of the Ozark Mountains, canoeing, camping and hunting are just a few things that both locals and visitors can enjoy. Two major industries are Butterball Turkey Co. and LaBarge Electronics, which makes components for the U.S. Government.
